Casa Buri Nesti : Trinidad

The very popular Casa Buri Nesti is a firm favourite in Trinidad for those looking for a very traditional Cuban Casa experience as this one certainly ticks all the boxes. The owners are a very welcoming and a delightful retired professional couple, well respected in the local community and know everyone !

The owners are fiercely proud of having top quality memory-foam mattresses imported from the USA, and being famous for the most comfortable beds in Trinidad . Sr Buri and  his wife Nesti will make you feel like family, and nothing is too much trouble for them, even though their grasp of English is  limited. Its very easy to get along  and converse as they are adept at the latest translation software and can call in assistance from neighbours for longer discussions, this adding to the charm and lasting memories of the stay.

The Casa is located in one of the original houses in Trinidad and you can almost taste the history of the city through the paintings and artefacts that are laid out. The entrance living room has a very historic, colonial feel, with antique furniture, old paintings and lots of trinkets. Leading into a peaceful courtyard and bar area where meals can be served amongst the tropical vegetation.  The large roof terrace has seating to allow for guests to catch the sun or relax with a book and maybe a local juice or cocktail.

There are 4 rooms at this casa, each with private bathroom and air-conditioning and those famous mattresses and they are all nicely decorated and comfortable.

Breakfast is tasty and hearty and usually includes freshly made fruit drinks / smoothies , warm breads, and a choice of eggs. There is a bar downstairs where fresh cocktails are served and there is a multitude of amazing restaurants, bars and music venues right on your door-step.
