Overview

Enjoying an unbeatable location on the popular  “Calle Enramadas” street, the main pedestrianised commercial thoroughfare that runs through the centre of Santiago De Cuba, the Encanto Imperial Hotel is very well located for those looking to enjoy exploring the city. As you wander along Enramadas, its very easy to visually the city in bygone years and bustling with traders, market stalls and busy shops. Its naturally quieter now and when you head to Parque Cespedes a few metres away, many locals just seem to be moving through the day with little urgency.

The Imperial has in recent years been lovingly restored, whilst maintaining its striking eclectic style, a true symbol of Cuban architecture. The hotel dates back to 1916, however it did close to visitors after the Revolution, when naturally tourism was not a priority in Cuba. The colonial style has been maintained throughout the property, with modern twists to enhance the comfort of guests and overall its a great centrally located base for exploring Santiago De Cuba

The 39 rooms are comfortable and have air conditioning, private bathroom, fridge and a safe and certainly the show-stopping highlight here is the roof terrace which has stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains of the Sierra Maestra, the ideal location to watch the sun set at the end of a busy day.
